There are signs on the appropriate streets not to park from
3am on market day. The market is huge, a
large food section in the square, then it goes for streets and streets.

We had a meander through the market then across
the footbridge over the Rhone to the small village of St Colombe. In a side street was a glass fronted building
with Roman tiled floors. Another Roman
house originally part of the huge Roman settlement mainly in the next village
of St-Romain-en-Gal.

As part of Les Journées Européennes du Patrimoine weekend we
went to a concert of La Cigale Estudiantina in the cloisters. As we were walking to the concert artists
were setting up stalls in the streets.
After an excellent concert of mandolins and guitars we enjoying looking
at many artists
exhibitions.
