Haute Marais

We went for a walk to look at Carreau du Temple, a renovated market building. Built in the late 1800s it is a huge iron and glass building, now used for exhibitions and a restaurant. We saw it some years ago unrenovated and it looks great. Around every corner there was another “oh, look at that building”. There were several buildings of a similar age but different styles – traditional, art deco, art nouveau.
