We
caught a small bus, not from the new bus station but in an extra bay
just around the corner. Just as well we had plenty of time to find
the right area. The return trip for a 50min bus ride was 4€40.
For two. The bus wound its way through the hills below Montagne
Sainte-Victoire and had to slow right down so a car could pass in the
opposite direction. There were many bike riders on the road which
made the corners interesting. The mountain, a huge lumpy mass of
bare rock on one side and trees vines and farms on the other.

When
we arrived there was a strong smell of crushed grapes. We were
beside a large winery.
The traditional street lights have no glass or globe, but an LED array [strip] in the top.
We walked around the town then up to
the water tower to a viewpoint as advised by a local.

As well as being a large wine growing
area, it is popular for walking and bike riding. We noted a bunch of
batteries being charged up in the cafe for a bike tour group. The
hills are steep.
