Paris Plage was being packed up this
morning for another year.

We have been trying to buy a book about
a French explorer by Prof Ed Duyker [who lives in our area] in French
for my cousin. At the second shop in St Michel which said online
they had it – no you have to order it, it will take a week. It
has been ordered on Amazon.fr which was an interesting experience.
They said two days.
We walked up steep rue de la Montagne Ste
Genevieve [must be the longest street name] and back down the winding
rue Mouffetard window shopping and poking around. We walked on to
Jardin des Plantes and enjoyed the gardens. Which idea could we use for
our garden?
The finished part of Les
Halles train interchange and shops near us is very smart and the
shops nearby must be so relieved that part is finished. The building
next door has scaffolding up that is covered in plastic and hessian
and they are often banging away at the facade! Fortunately they come
and go and don't start early.
