Hurried across the Seine to get the RER [did take some photos] to church. At 9am the train was still sitting at Invalides, one long stop away, due to track work. We got out and walked. Don't know how late we were, but the available seats were two rows from the front!
 
 

We wanted to walk down rue Mouffetard [site of a roman road] to see the market. At first we thought it was just a Vide Grenier [locals selling] but further down the hill it became the food market then the Brocante – second hand dealers – went around the fountain and up the next hill. There was singing and dancing near the fountain at the bottom of the hill.
