There was a huge street market with some antique, some vintage, some mid-century not very modern and a
little junk for sale.
For those of you who have as little French as we do – Hilary asked
the price and thought the stallholder said deux
euro, which she knew wasn’t nearly enough.
He was saying douze euro, but
then reduced the item to dix euro! All those slightly different sounds to be
aware of.
