birthday

First choice was to go to the hardware shop – L’Entrepot de Bricolage - no wicks found for the oil lamps bought at the brocante that will be used to burn citronella oil to keep mosquitos at bay
To Intersport for sleeves/manchettes for winter bike riding - tick
To GammVert, a gardening shop for garden clogs – tick

Then lunch in Trans-en-Provence at Bistro Pastis with lots of Pernod and Ricard  posters.

there is a niche just beyond the car for pedestrians to stand

It was a great celebration with the Gascards for Geoff’s birthday.

Le Menu pour le dîner
aperitif: paté, cornichons, olives, served with a sparkling Doux Rosé from Chateau Taradeau down in the valley
baguette, pain d’olive
dinner: ballotine de lapin, carotte + celeri remoulade, salade, served with Chateau Roubine rosé
fromage,
flan de poire, café

The celebration was a double one.  Sue received notification that her final papers had been accepted for French citizenship.  The interview is next.
