The high winds forecast for yesterday came
today, but fortunately, they were not as bad as forecast.

The Office du Tourism was open so we picked up a numbered map
and did an historical walk of the town.

The town has the Hôtel de Ville, Palais de Justice, police
station, a school, indoor swimming pool, several banks and five squares with
numerous restaurants. No wonder its
busy! outside the [not walled] town the city is large.
